Perhaps one of the longest standing jokes in our family relates to the way mum can't help telling us all how to drive. I'm sure everyone's had the experience of learning this delicate art, with dad riding shotgun and mum and 'the others' sitting in the back. When I started learning, dad would be telling me, 'yep, that's right, a bit to the right now, your nearly coming off the road on this side, WHOA, steady now, that's right', and all that jazz.
Constant 'help' would be coming from the back. Mum adding her two bits worth to the mix. Worst was when they were saying opposite things, leaving the learner, me, to do whatever came natural.
Well things only got worse when Lach, brother #2 started to drive. Now mum and I sat in the back giving 'extra' directions.
Maybe we're not without hope. 4th brother is learning now and we're all getting the idea that we may as well shut up :D
